why lymphatic drainage massage?

Lymphatic drainage massage is a gentle, specialised remedial massage technique designed to stimulate the flow of lymph — the fluid that helps remove waste, toxins and excess fluid from the body. Often described as the body’s natural detox system, the lymphatic network plays a key role in immunity, inflammation and overall wellbeing

Using light, rhythmic strokes (rather than deep pressure), the treatment encourages lymph flow toward the collarbones to support detoxification and immune function.

Clients often notice reduced bloating and puffiness, improved digestion and constipation relief, released heavy or tired legs, and an overall feeling of lightness. It can also support hormonal balance, skin health and post-surgical recovery.

Why remedial massage?

Remedial massage treats muscular pain through stretching, kneading and mobilising the body to reduce discomfort, increase range of motion and enable healing.

It’s not just for the muscles though - massage treats your nervous system by helping you wind down, moving out of ‘fight, flight or freeze’ mode into ‘rest, repair and digest’ mode. It can also reduce unhelpful nerve pathways that may be sending messages of a ‘threat’, which in turn causes you pain.

If you’re prone to experiencing stress, anxiety, depression or chronic pain, you may find massage to be an effective and nourishing preventative which helps you maintain overall health and wellbeing.
